The first signs of life

PhotobucketPhotobucket

I was overjoyed this morning when I got back from spending the night at my boyfriends to find that my plants are finally starting to show that they're growing! I was starting to get worried; although I did only plant them last week!

I've never really grown anything before, but since I've got home I've planted spinach, radishes, pak choi, chinese cabbage, carrots, baby turnips, herbs and potatoes. I can't wait to start eating all my organic, home grown veggies!

Ooh, growing plants is the best thing ever! Especially when the plants grow food. My fiance's parents live in Virginia and they have a tiny farming plot, but it still produces about twice as much food as the two of them can eat or jar - luckily the forest animals help themselves too so nothing goes to waste. My favorite thing to do when we visit is help them harvest beans and tomatoes. Cooking with vegetables that you've grown is amazing.

Good for you, your edible garden is going to be amazing. As soon as we move back to the states we want to start our own veggie garden, you'll have to give me your tips.

I am jealous of your signs of life!

I have a chilli plant and that bugger refuses to give me any freaking chillis!
